Short Bio

Dr. Chandana Mathur was educated at the University of Delhi and the New School for Social Research, New York, and now teaches at the Department of Anthropology at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth. Drawing on the perspectives of anthropological political economy, her work focuses on the contemporary United States, South Asia and the South Asian diaspora. She is the current Chair of the World Council of Anthropological Associations (WCAA).
